Director Juel Taylor has crafted an entertainingly quirky sci-fi mystery with The Cloned Tyrone. Featuring a stellar cast including Jamie Foxx, Kiefer Sutherland and John Boyega, this movie is full of fun twists and social commentary.
The plot follows drug dealer Fontaine as he investigates being cloned, uncovering a nefarious government conspiracy. Taylor keeps viewers guessing with reveals and subverts expectations at every turn. It's a thrilling ride peppered with humor along the way.
Foxx is perfect casting as the confused but determined Fontaine clone. Supporting turns from Sutherland, Boyega and others are also top-notch. Themes like medical experimentation on minorities and identity are explored thoughtfully.
Visual effects depicting the cloning process and more are creatively rendered. At its runtime of just over 90 minutes, The Cloned Tyrone rightly flies by without dragging. Both sci-fi and comedy fans will find much to enjoy in this clever, entertaining flick. A great watch for movie nights or viewing parties!
